HOW TO REGISTER
Printed applications will be available April 10th.
Your entry fee includes a complimentary goody bag and race shirt
(size satisfaction subject to availability).
Fax and online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17,
and no credit cards will be accepted after that time.
NUMBER PICKUP/REGISTRATION
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers, scoring chips,
and race souvenirs in advance.
Materials may be picked up at New York Road Runners
(9 East 89th Street, between Madison and Fifth Avenues)
on Thursday - Saturday prior to the race.
On race day, Sunday, June 22, entrants may pick up their materials in Central Park at the registration tent near Tavern on the Green in the Mineral Springs area (West 67th Street and West Drive),
starting at 7:00 am

Start and Finish on Central Park's West Drive at 67th Street.

PARTICIPANT PHOTOGRAPHY
Official race photos will be taken during the event by
Lotus Photographers.
All proceeds benefit the programs of the
Achilles Track Club.
POST-RACE
Please join us near the Start/Finish line
at the Disability Awareness Pavilion, for the awards ceremonies
at approximately 11 a.m.
More than $6,000 in prize money will be awarded
to the top male and female finishers in the following categories:
open, visually impaired, above-knee amputee, below-knew amputee,
ambulatory disabled, pushrim and handcrank wheelchair.
Special awards for Power Chair athletes and Double Amputees.
At least seven participants need to finish in any category
for prize money to be awarded.
Final confirmation of top winners will be made by NYRR and ATC.
RACE SCORING
The 5M is a scored race that will be timed using the ChampionChip® system. You must complete the race with your chip attached to your
shoe (or chair) or your time will not be recorded.
Start mats will be removed within approximately 10 minutes after
the race start, after which net times will not be recorded.
Please follow the instructions in your race packet
on attaching the chip to your shoe (or chair)
and then returning the chip following the race.
Note that you will be charged $35 if you do not return the chip
within 20 days.
Participation in this race does not count toward
earning guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon.

BAGGAGE FACILITIES
Free baggage facilities will be provided near the
finish area (West 67th Street and West Drive) as a convenience.
Bring an inexpensive bag in which to put your items.
Pin the baggage tag that is attached to your number to your bag.
Please leave your valuables at home.
The Achilles Track Club and New York Road Runners
are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
RULES OF COMPETITION
This race is organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must comply with Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules.
Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and
possibly banned from NYRR events,
including the ING New York City Marathon.
For the safety of all participants and to satisfy insurance requirements,
no skates, strollers, or animals are permitted
and the use of headphones is strongly discouraged.
Participant numbers must be fully visible at all times.

KIDS RACES
Children ages 2 - 16 may participate in the Kids Fun Run at 10:30 am.
The focus this year is on Kids Against Obesity!
Kids run for FUN and to stay healthy and fit!
All kids are encouraged to run/walk and help us raise money and awareness to fight the problem of obesity in children!
Race distances based on age/ability level from 100 Yards - 400 Yards.
Start and finish is at Central Park West 67th St & West Drive.
The FIRST 1000 children who sign up and participate in the
Kids Against Obesity Fun Run
will receive a FREE pair of running shoes!
